Are you looking for the secret to keeping your lower back pain at bay?

You have an aching back because the muscles of your lower back, the erector spinea, are tight and hurting. The pain is constant and steady, affecting everything you try to do. Every time you move, you are reminded of the hurt.

I understand what you are going through. I like millions of other folks, have had the misery of lower back pain interrupt my activities and dominate my life. Until the pain subsided, I hobbled around and could barely stand straight. Fortunately, my physician helped me through the crisis with medication and direction.

I discovered that there are some simple secrets to avoiding the low back pain problem. These secrets are easy to accomplish and really don't cost much money to implement.

The secret is... You need to strengthen and tighten your lower back muscles with some form of simple exercise.

Your back muscles have gotten weaker with disuse and growing older. We all tend to be less active as we get more mature and all of a sudden, the back muscles are simply not up to the job.

There are a couple of different exercise routines that will help you avoid lower back problems.

1. Lay on your stomach and raise your head and legs as far as possible. Hold this for a few seconds and then relax. Repeat this routine a few minutes a day and you will be amazed at how much better your back feels.

2. Ride a bicycle. The effort of pedaling yourself through space on a bicycle will strengthen those same muscles that were giving you trouble. A short ride around the block every day will do wonders for your back and general physical well being.

Warning: Failure to follow the above advice could very easily result in more back problems. It is just not that hard to do.

Always follow your doctor's advice about exercise and medication for your back problems.
